Internship Opportunities
Family Networks provides mental health services
to children, adolescents, and their families in Hennepin County. Elementary,
Middle School, and High School age seriously emotionally disturbed youngsters
receive day treatment through our day treatment programs. In home-family
therapy is provided through our Outpatient services. Therapeutic preschool,
parent education and support are provided through the REAL program. An early
childhood Intensive mental health program is offered through the I-REAL
program. For more information, please see separate program descriptions.
Training experiences may be offered in any of the above programs, dependent on
requirements of the graduate or undergraduate program and availability at the
site.
Graduate Internship/Practicum Training Program
Graduate level internships are now available in
our day treatment and therapeutic preschool programs. Graduate training
experience is offered to master’s level students in marriage and family therapy
programs, psychology, social work programs and doctoral leave psychology
programs. Practicum experiences are over the course of one school year (nine
months). Students may elect a half time internship or a full-time internship.

Undergraduate Internship/Practicum Training Program
Undergraduate level internships are now
available in our day treatment and therapeutic preschool programs. Family
Networks offers training experience to undergraduate students in psychology,
social work and social sciences programs.
