2nd Annual Adopt-a-Family or Child Program UPDATE:

Thank you for giving 68 families and countless individuals a holiday they will never forget! Our 2nd annual Adopt-a-Family was a tremendous success because of you. However, it didn’t stop there, so many of you asked “what more can I do?” Just a few examples of “extra” kindness include:

Messerli & Kramer Law Firm created a “Wish Tree” and invited 100 of our kids to submit a “gift/wish” and then granted that wish for each child. Thank you!

3M provided boxes of “reward” items for our Point Store; a “store” where a child can choose a special treat for achieving a set goal. Thank you!

One of 3M’s vendors heard about our program and also learned that we did not have enough grocery gift cards for all of our families; they anonymously provided $525 worth of grocery cards to ensure all of our families had a holiday meal. Thank you!

In lieu of having an employee holiday party, Jostens’ employees decided to use those funds to purchase items for 64 personal hygiene bags for our kids. Each bag was made-to-order including a handmade greeting card and other much needed items such as socks and underwear. Thank you!

Levi & Shawn added a twist to their annual Holiday party this year by asking their guests to bring an item selected from our “always needed” wish list. The result was boxes and boxes of winter jackets, hats and mittens, toys, pajamas, hygiene products, stuffed animals, jewelry, items for The Point Store, kids and adult underwear, snacks for the kids in our Day Treatment program and many, many other wonderful gifts. Thank you!

THANKSGIVING UPDATE

Thank you! We asked you to remember local families who would not celebrate Thanksgiving without some help and we were overwhelmed by your response! Over 170 families received a holiday meal because of your generosity. Your donations of food and grocery gift cards gave these families a reason to be truly thankful and the opportunity to celebrate as a family.
